Why does eating make me feel sick?

Many foods make me feel sick. Especially fruits, and foods that have lables on them about claiming to be healthy. Yogurt makes me the sickest. Whenever I eat yogurt, I always feel like throwing up. Even drinking water has made me sick.

It's not just food that makes me feel sick, though. Amoxicillin also makes me feel extremely sick. My mother is violently allergic to penicillin, but I don't know if I am.

The only thing that has never made me sick is an ice cube. Cold things tend to make me feel better, and so do things that aren't liquid or squishy. Salt sometimes makes me feel better, too.

My doctors have always told me that I'm healthy, but I don't think they really care if I am or not, either. I mean, one day I told my doctor that I couldn't hold a pencil because my wrists hurt so badly, and he just said, "Oh. Well, that's probably not good." A different doctor from around here had roughly the same reaction. It's irritating. Anyway..!

So, yeah... Why do I get sick?
Answer:
Maybe you have something wrong with your throat that is triggering the gag reflex? I know it's hard to get it checked out -- you need a concerned doctor to get a good recommendation to a specialist, but it sounds like those are few and far between.

You might be better off with a holistic practioner. They often know what they are doing medically, but also can work with you mentally. It may be that part of your problem is in your head -- and it's disgusting that doctors dismiss that. "Oh, it's all in your head." Well, maybe, but it still hurts, doesn't it? Educate yourself so you know how to identify a complete quack, but be open to the experience.

Even the best doctor in the world won't know everything -- and it sounds like you have some doctors who are just putting in time and collecting their fees. You can do a lot for yourself by educating yourself about what's out there.

  1. I had the same problem...What's your Blood Type? The info in "Eat Right For Your Type",(ERFYT), by Peter D'Adamo will show you the foods that are healthy specifically for your Blood Type. If you don't know your Type (your MD probably won't tell you!), you can donate blood and they will tell you. Usually, foods that nauseate you are instinct warnings. If you grew-up eating many foods that didn't suit your Blood Type you may have bypassed many of your natural instincts.
