Why does Asprin smell so bad?

I have a migraine and so I am nausiated.. I go to get some asprin and i open the bottle and geta nasty wiff of stuff..why does asprin smell so much more than all the rest of pills?
Answer:
By today's standards, aspirin is a very old-fashioned drug (though it still works!) It uses acetic acid, the acid that is in vinegar, so sometimes it smells vinegary, especially if it's old (that means it's breaking down, losing its potency).
probably because the aspirin is too old.as it breaks down there is a marked odor. Get a new bottle.
i've never took time in smelling aspirin--but i've never noticed any bad smell when i take them.maybe your pills are expired or something.
because of the chemicals they use to make it..duh
Aspirins usually aren't coated as many other pills are. ~
Buy some "enteric coated" aspirin. It disolves in your intestines instead of your stomach and doesn't cause upset stomach or bleeding and you won't get any odor from the bottle.
